I usually don't do things like this but I feel like it was more needed for myself than for you guys. I'm going to keep it fairly brief.

For those who know I recently just graduated from Hampton University, and amidst all of the celebration of getting my degree I’m pretty sure everyone couldn’t ignore that it's a different world that we live in nowadays. Post-Grad has been hard, as it is typically for most but post-grad during a pandemic has been absolutely brutal and that's sugar coating it. From rejection calls, to emails, to empty promises and that infamous line “Sorry we like you, unfortunately we’re just on a hiring freeze right now,” it’s been hard.

Now I’m a believer in “good things come to those that wait,” but I’m also one of the most impatient people you can probably meet so waiting out this pandemic has been a struggle of mine, that has made me all together want to just grab a job outside the journalism field and make some quick money. On the other hand, sports journalism is my passion and I'm blessed enough to have people around me who encourage me to keep going even when things are looking slim. A person who can be (sometimes) wise told me “Stop killing your brain child before they have a chance to grow.” So I owe it to those same people who encourage me, to keep going and I apologize to those who followed the blog before for just dropping off out of nowhere. If you’re new here, welcome, if you're returning I’m glad you’ve taken time to visit us again.

To sum it up we’re back.
